Colour is a total game changer. Your super power to feeling good. That’s why every KALINA project starts with your colour story - a tailored colour palette unique to you and your home.
Being surrounded by the right colours in your home has a profound effect on how you feel and behave. There’s a colour and even a specific tone to help you feel calm, grounded, focussed, creative, sensual, wild, uplifted and everything else in between. And much like the clothes you choose to wear, the colours you choose in your home are a brilliant way of expressing your personality and enhancing design features.
But choosing the right colours can be hugely confusing and decorating dilemmas can lead to overwhelm and indecision or worse still choosing the wrong colours, costing you time and money.
I created YOUR COLOUR STORY as a fun, quick and easy way to help you home in on a bespoke colour palette that tells your story and works harmoniously with your home. During the consultation, we deep dive together into my curated selection of paint samples and materials from sustainable brand partners to craft your unique narrative. We can focus on particular rooms, a specific dilemma or create a full scheme. You’ll come away with fresh ideas and receive a personalised mood board to give you the courage and confidence to start your transformation.

Before we meet:
After booking your exclusive consultation, I share with you a brief questionnaire to email back so I can prepare for our session and make the most of our time together.
During the consultation:
We consider you and others living in your home as well as the light, aspect, current decor and architecture of the spaces to get to the heart of your story.
I share fascinating colour psychology and styling tips and tricks, and we look at paint colours in each room, intuitively guiding you to create a cohesive palette.
After the consultation:
Within 24 hours, you receive a bespoke stylised mood board via email, showcasing Your Colour Story with recommended paint colours and ‘how to style it’ ideas.
You can then start to transform your home, testing out paint samples and selecting a mix of materials to bring your design vision to life.
“I’ve had white walls in every home I’ve lived in and enjoy the simplicity of white as I lead a busy life. When I moved to a 1930s property, I knew white wasn’t right but didn’t know where to start. Kim’s passion for colour and how it can influence how you feel made me think differently. She came up with the idea of using muted neutrals inspired by nature to connect the inside spaces with our garden. This calm backdrop was then brought to life with bright colour pops from the furniture and decor we selected together, with touches of white to keep it light and airy. Kim visited with large tester samples to make sure our colour choices worked in each room and at different times of day, created a costed schedule with the right finishes and quantities and took the stress out of decorating by project managing with a brilliant team of local trades. We now have a cool family home where we can all have fun and relax.”

I also offer sourcing and procurement of contemporary crafted items - furniture, lighting, art and accessories - to help you create a vibrant home.

It’s useful to have room dimensions, inspiration images and photos of your home to hand so that we can clarify your sourcing brief when we chat.
We spend 15 minutes talking through ideas, looking at your home and create a detailed list of the pieces you need with a clear budget.
The search:
You relax while I get to work searching for fabulous pieces, whether vintage, antique or contemporary.
I only present the best quality items for your budget, always beautifully crafted.
I share options with you via WhatsApp (the quickest and easiest way to communicate when sourcing one-of-a-kind items) with ‘how to style it’ ideas.
You decide what you love and I make all the arrangements for home delivery.

I work boldly and intuitively with my clients, commercial and creative partners on the concepting, sourcing, build and styling of each project to find playful and meaningful ways to tell your story.
Each project begins with you - how you want to feel and function in each room. My one rule when we decorate is that there are no rules. We adventure freely together through eras, cultures and rituals, creating uniquely beautiful autobiographical spaces where you can feel good and live well.
