#4 APRIL: BUY VINTAGE, SAVE THE WORLD

Set of 6 Moller 75 dining chairs from my vintage collection, shot on location at Devils Dyke, East Sussex.

It’s Earth Day today (22 April) and I’m so proud to run a business which supports our beautiful planet as much as I can, no matter how small my contribution may be. Thank you so much for buying vintage furniture rather than modern furniture for your home. Not only do you inject a unique vibe and quality design with a vintage piece, you also lessen your impact on the earth.

You can find out more about the vital part you play in this article exploring ‘How sustainability is changing the furniture industry’ from Vinterior, the popular online marketplace for pre-loved and vintage furniture. One of my vintage pieces made its way to Vinterior’s first pop-up retail shop in Selfridges Oxford Street department store this week. I fully recommend a visit to ‘Out with the new, in with the old’, which will run for 3 months until 17th July in the homeware department on the lower ground floor. Selfridges has committed to 45% of its business coming from circular products and services by 2030. I am down with that.

So, to embrace and celebrate Earth Day, I’m sharing with you some of my favourite fellow vintage sellers here in UK, who each bring their own unique style to the vintage collections they curate for you. Do give them a follow and support the vintage movement. Together we can - and do - make a difference.
